Together, as a family, we’ve built a business that has grown quickly because of the strong beliefs that guide everything we do.

Founded in 2018 by Drew Adams, Empower Riverina began as a response to a genuine gap in local disability services. Drew saw too many people missing out on opportunities — not reaching their full potential, not accessing their communities, and not achieving their personal goals. With more than 25 years of experience in the juvenile justice system, he understood how important structure, encouragement, and consistency are in helping people build capacity and confidence.

Drew’s wife, Maxine, brought her wealth of experience from aged care and community support roles. Together, they established a service grounded in compassion, ethics, and the belief that every person should be supported with dignity and genuine care.

What began as a small family-run service quickly flourished. Within a year, we grew into the ethically driven and community-focused organisation you know today — one built on strong values, lived experience, and a commitment to doing what’s right, not just what’s required.

As demand grew, so did our team. Today, we are supported by a diverse and passionate group of:

• Highly skilled Support Workers with backgrounds in youth work, community engagement, behaviour support, mental health, and independent living skills
• Team leaders and experienced senior staff who guide day-to-day operations and ensure consistent, high-quality support
• Compliance and administrative staff who help us maintain strong standards, communication, and participant-focused service delivery

Our team has expanded, but our heart is still the same.

We remain a family-run, values-based organisation, strengthened by a growing workforce who share our vision. Every team member plays a part in empowering participants to build skills, connect with their community, and move toward the life they want.
